It's found on postcards and in paintings, and if the light is right when you visit, it takes your breath away... yep, we're talking about Ormiston Gorge! Out of all the gaps and gorges in the West MacDonnell National Park just west of #AliceSprings, it has to be one of the most impressive 💛 Whilst the gorge is famous for its waterhole, one of the other very special things about this place is that it showcases the spectacular geology and landforms of the park. The best way to appreciate the scenery of Ormiston Gorge and Pound is to follow one of the many marked walking tracks. There are a number of trails with varying levels of difficulty, ranging from 5 minutes to 3-4 hours. When you're ready for a break, head to the kiosk where you can grab lunch and a coffee! "Will you be my #Valentine?" Meet Marmalade... the owner of the world's CUTEST face! He lives at @thekangaroosanctuary where their main mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned baby kangaroos back into the wild. Kangaroos who can’t be returned to their native habitat are released into the 188 acre property. If you'd like to meet Marmalade and his mates you can book a sunset tour of the Sanctuary, which is just a short drive from #AliceSprings in @visitcentralaus. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @kangaroosanctuary! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT #ValentinesDay

Located about 60 kilometres from #Katherine in Nitmiluk National Park, Edith Falls (Leliyn) rewards those up for a hike. The main pool at the base of the falls is beautiful, but it’s also well worth hiking to the upper pool via the 2.6 kilometre Leliyn loop walk. It ticks all the boxes for Top End swimming heaven: a plunge pool you could swim in for hours; mesmerising rock formations and a scenic walking trail 🙌 Edith Falls has a grassy campground along with a small kiosk if you're keen to stay and explore the area, including the longer Sweetwater Pool hike.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @koojo! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Camping goals 🙌 #EastArnhemLand is a nature lovers' paradise with wild and untamed landscapes that have remained the same for centuries. @talesofavanwife shared this awesome shot of her sweet set-up at Little Bondi - one of the many stunning beaches within a relatively short driving distance from #Nhulunbuy (#Gove), the region's main township. Not far from Little Bondi (Baringura), you'll also find Turtle Beach (Ngumuy) and Macassan Beach (Garanhan). If you're planning a visit to Arnhem Land, make sure you look into travel permits with the Northern Land Council or the Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation before your trip 👍  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Phoebe! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd #ArnhemLand

Just your standard evening at Glen Helen Gorge 🌟 Set against a stunning outback vista of towering red cliffs, the permanent waterhole here is part of the Finke River - thought to be one of the oldest river systems in the world! With little to no light pollution in the area, you can pitch your tent in the nearby campground at @glenhelenlodge and see the #stars like never before. If you're not keen on camping, the lodge also has a number of hotel rooms with all of the creature comforts of home. It's the ultimate base for exploring the surrounding West MacDonnell Ranges with a restaurant and bar onsite. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @jaydidphoto!  #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

Dreamy dusk scenes in the Top End 💜 Road-tripping through the NT, @elisecook said "there is something about being out here, immersed in the natural world around us, the red earth beneath our feet and the big Outback skies above us". We couldn't have said it better ourselves! The journey from #Darwin to #AliceSprings is easily one of @Australia's most exciting adventures bringing together a world of ancient landscapes, aboriginal culture and endless skies. From the red desert sands of #Uluru, to World Heritage listed #Kakadu National Park and the magnificent Nitmiluk (#Katherine) Gorge, the diversity of the NT will astound you 🙌 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Elise! #SeeAustralia

What’s better than one waterfall? Easy. Two waterfalls! As the name suggests Twin Falls is double the fun with a split cascade that plunges from a 150 metre high cliff face into a deep pool below. These spectacular falls are best seen by air during the tropical summer, when heavy rains send huge volumes of water crashing into the gorge. During the dry season, Twin Falls slows to a trickle and you can walk right to the base of the imposing escarpment. The Red Centre is home to many natural wonders including the other-worldly domes of #KataTjuta (#TheOlgas), only 30 kilometres from #Uluru 🙌 Kata Tjuta is a Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal word meaning "many heads". This large, ancient rock formation is made up of 36 ochre-coloured domes spread over an area of more than 20 kilometres. You can hike around Kata Tjuta or watch the soaring shapes change colour from a viewing platform at sunrise and sunset. Video: @saltywings / @wildislandfilms Cheers to everyone that entered our competition over the past week to win a trip for two to the Red Centre. We’re excited to announce that the lucky winner is @herlittleprints! #NTaustralia #SeeUluru #RedCentreNT

Lucky local, @savvy_social, knows alllll the best spots to watch the sun dip below the sea! There's no doubt about it, #Darwin does #sunsets pretty darn well 😍 Take your pick of Mindil Beach, East Point Reserve, Nightcliff foreshore or any number of the casual dining spots overlooking the ocean - all within easy driving distance of the CBD! Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, Mel.  #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd
