It's found on postcards and in paintings, and if the light is right when you visit, it takes your breath away... yep, we're talking about Ormiston Gorge! Out of all the gaps and gorges in the West MacDonnell National Park just west of #AliceSprings, it has to be one of the most impressive 💛 Whilst the gorge is famous for its waterhole, one of the other very special things about this place is that it showcases the spectacular geology and landforms of the park. The best way to appreciate the scenery of Ormiston Gorge and Pound is to follow one of the many marked walking tracks. There are a number of trails with varying levels of difficulty, ranging from 5 minutes to 3-4 hours. When you're ready for a break, head to the kiosk where you can grab lunch and a coffee!
