Apparently almost 1 in 10 Aussies believe #EastArnhemLand is a fantasy destination from a children’s book... 🤦‍♂️ This is Lonely Beach, a very beautiful (and real!) place that you can explore on a tour with aboriginal-owned organisation @Lirrwi Tourism. They offer day and multi-day guided tours into the remote Yolngu Homelands, departing from #Nhulunbuy (#Gove) between April and October. You'll get to see how the world's oldest living culture still does things today - from traditional spear fishing to gathering of bush foods. East Arnhem Land is only a short flight from #Darwin or can be accessed via the Central Arnhem Road. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @_markfitz! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd #ArnhemLand

Watching sunset should be a mandatory activity in #Kakadu National Park - they're way too good to miss, hey @turquoiselane_shop! There are a number of well known places within the park to watch the daily afternoon show, however Nawurlandja Lookout has to be one of our favourites 👉 after a short clamber up a steep rock slope you'll have world-class views across Anbangbang Billabong to Nourlangie Rock (Burrungkuy) and the #ArnhemLand escarpment. This peaceful spot is great for sitting back and taking in the changing colours at the end of the day or watching dramatic storms roll in during the tropical summer. No Wi-Fi, no worries.... welcome to @BanubanuRetreat where its all about disconnecting to reconnect ☺️ Nestled in the north-east coves of Bremer Island, this #EastArnhemLand wilderness retreat offers an eco-escape from the hustle and bustle. There are three accommodation options but the deluxe beachfront eco tents are particularly popular, with stunning views of the Arafura Sea 😍 In between relaxing on the shaded deck with a book, there's plenty to do on the island including fishing, bird watching, walking or guided cultural experiences. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @iamsavi! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd #ArnhemLand
