Immerse yourself in this premium SeaLink Tiwi Islands art and culture day tour.

A highly personalised experience; this leisurely walking tour visits all the places of interest with your friendly Tiwi guide. After disembarking in the Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island, you'll be escorted to Tiwi Design where local artists and dancers will perform a formal Welcome to Country with a smoking ceremony and totem dances.

Enjoy a typical Tiwi morning tea of damper and a cuppa while getting to know some of the Tiwi Island community members. Explore the Mission Precinct with your knowledgeable guide telling stories of life and culture in the Tiwi Islands.

Visit the Patakijiyali Museum with your guide to learn the history of the Mission days, the Tiwi Creation story, Tiwi involvement in WWII and most importantly (to the Tiwi!), celebrated football players!

After a rest and lunch in the shade, it’s time to re-visit Tiwi Design and participate in an exclusive ‘behind-the-scenes’ screen printing workshop. Choose from contemporary or traditional Tiwi design to print onto a take-home t-shirt, tea towel or fabric – a wonderful souvenir of your Tiwi visit.

    Half Day Mandorah Explorer

Our most-asked question must be "What's on the other side of the Harbour?" The Half Day Mandorah Explorer Tour gives you the opportunity to find out.

The tour commences on the 7:45am Cullen Bay to Mandorah commuter ferry, giving you the first clue about life for those who live on 'the other side'. (Mandorah & Wagait Beach residents call Darwin the 'dark side'!). For the majority of residents, the ferry service is their daily commute to school, shopping, sport and work.

Hear about the development of the Wagait Beach community, see the beaches, WWII history, keep your eyes peeled for our Top End birdlife and wallabies.

You will learn about the amazing structure of Mandorah Jetty and why it is built the way it is. West Point submarine nets and how they stopped an enemy sub during WWII. The white sandy Wagait Beach, her community and role in WWII. Visit the resting place of Milady, an American B-24 aircraft, respectfully cared-for and those lost remembered. You might spot a Beach Stone-Curlew or White-bellied Sea-eagle. What rock formations can you discover at low tide?

Morning tea is included and your guide will find a shady spot to relax.
