The older I get, the faster life goes by and Kellie and I often feel as though our three kids are growing up way too fast!

Life really is too short, and there is so much to see in the world. So I would encourage you to take your kids to the NT, so they can learn about this great country of ours, and you can spend quality time with them.

Raised on a farm in QLD, I was always outside playing sport as a kid. It was easy for us because we didn’t grow up in the age of technology where kids these days have so many distractions and multiple electronic devices.

My three kids play plenty of sport and are often outside amongst nature, whether it’s here in Brisbane or over on Stradbroke Island. However, our family NT drive holiday was a great opportunity for the kids to detach from their man-made distractions and submerge themselves in nature.

Holidaying in the Outback gives families a chance to spend some real quality time together and reconnect. Whether you’re hiking Kings Canyon, taking a canoe down Katherine Gorge or driving to Kakadu National Park, you always have plenty of time on your hands. And the most amazing thing about this is, you begin to talk to each other more, reconnect with yourself and your family, and learn about this amazing country of ours.

You won’t find anything like the NT in any other part of the world. With its unique wildlife, colourful characters and majestic landscapes, your kids will have experiences and learn lessons they would never get by sitting in a classroom, playing computer games or watching TV. So, before your kids do get too old, plan your trip of a lifetime to the NT.
