SEIT Kata Tjuta Domes

You will travel to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to a place where unique flora and fauna thrive, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas).

Here your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site.

Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years.

Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. The spirituality of this amazing location embraces everyone who ventures here.

Your guide will return you to your hotel in time for those people joining the Ayres Rock Resort Dining Experiences.

Tour duration is 3 hours and minimum numbers apply.

Daintree Dreaming – Aboriginal Art & Culture

Yalada! (Welcome). Glimpse into the unique lives of the Kuku Yalanji people, the Indigenous people of Mossman country. Walk through the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest on a dreamtime journey, discovering Ngadiku (Nar-di-gul) the stories and legends from a long time ago. After lunch which is hosted at Mayi Café and Restaurant, Mayi meaning ‘edible plants’, your afternoon continues with a scenic drive through Shannonvale where your knowledgeable guide will share stories of life in the area. Arrive at the Yiki people’s protected Janbal Aboriginal Art Gallery where you will learn skills to create your own artwork to take home.

SEIT Uluru Trek

Come and join your SEIT Outback Australia guide on a trek around the full base of Uluru and explore the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. Your guide will meet you approximately one hour before sunrise at the entrance to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort to begin your journey into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Then after arriving at the base of Uluru, you will begin your sunrise trek around the 12 kilometre base trail and embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith.

Along the trail you will witness sunrise, visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients and learn of Uluru’s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people. Take time out to enjoy your picnic outback breakfast as you listen to the variety of desert noises from the surrounding environment.

SEIT Uluru

Departing the resort, the tour will travel through the landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point, it is only a matter of minutes before the spectra of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country .

The first step allows you a photographic opportunity of this amazing icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, you journey toward the base. Walk with your guide to a place of tranquillity.

The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realisation of the sheer size of this monolith.

SEIT Kata Tjuta

Your SEIT Outback Australia guide will meet you at the entrance of your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort and your tour will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 40 kilometres journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation.

On arrival at the viewing area, you walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the suns morning glow as the desert comes alive.

You make your way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast. As you approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes that shape Kata Tjuta, the result of eons of weathering and continual upheaval, your guide will share the significance of this men’s sacred ceremonial site.

You then take a stroll between these mighty conglomerate rock walls as your guide explains how the environment and the geology have evolved over millions of years.

Your guide will return you to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Mt Conner 4WD Outback Adventure

SEIT Outback Australia offers a unique and exclusive experience to Mt Conner, located 100Km east of Uluru. This is the quintessential Aussie Outback experience. This fascinating tour will introduce you to life in the desert. Absorb the ambiance of the Red Centre without the crowds as we venture into an extraordinary environment by 4WD.

Mt Conner is situated on a vast, fully operational, privately owned cattle station, called Curtin Springs Station. While the dams on the property were constructed for watering cattle, here you will find the perfect natural habitat for red kangaroos and a vast array of birds and reptiles of the Red Centre. You will discover an ancient inland salt lake and learn about the European history of the region. While you enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, you will be captivated by the spectacular changing colours of sunset over Mt Conner before returning to enjoy a delicious outback dinner prepared by the cook at Curtin Springs Station.

SEIT Uluru Highlights

As you travel towards Uluru, its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its presence in this country. Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast.

You will visit Mutijulu Waterhole on the Kuniya Walk and learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python). After this short walk we will drive around the base of Uluru and hear the story of the Mala people before returning to the resort.
The perfect sunrise tour for those short on time or who don’t want to walk too far.

SEIT Valley of the Winds

Welcome to the world of Kata Tjuta and the Valley of the Winds. These spiritual domes offer a challenging walk between these giant geological formations showcasing awe-inspiring scenery. SEIT Patji - A True Aboriginal Experience

Accompany the Traditional Uluru Family to their homelands called Patji and spend time learning about the oldest living culture in the world. A unique and exclusive touring experience, Patji is located just outside of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park south of Uluru.

Explore this extraordinary environment by 4WD with your Aboriginal guide, stopping along the journey to hear stories such as how Paddy Uluru fought for Aboriginal Lands rights to where Uluru is today. The Uluru family want to share their personal story with you during this authentic cultural experience. Join them under a remote shelter to hear how they survived in this desert environment before tourism started in the region.

Continue on to a private sand dune to view the great expanse of the desert overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
