Auswalk Walking Holidays

Auswalk Walking Holidays offers a dynamic range of guided group and self guided inn-to-inn walking holidays, in addition to guided 'on-demand' options.

Their guided group walking holidays attract people who prefer to get off the standard tourist route and explore new areas on foot with many of their trips visiting wilderness regions and World Heritage areas.

For those who prefer to 'go it alone', their self guided inn-to-inn walks are the perfect solution. They will provide you with easy to follow walk notes and maps, and whilst you are off on your walk, they'll transfer your luggage to your next accommodation.

    Red Centre - Group-Guided

This is a land of colour; rich red ochre cliffs and rocky gorges contrast the azure skies. Brilliant greens dot the outback landscape and the startling whites of the ghost gums reflect into crystal clear waterholes.

At the major sites of Uluru (Ayres Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), you’ll walk and explore, enjoying our knowledgeable guide’s in-depth interpretation of these special places. Hike glorious Watarraka (Kings Canyon) and skirt the rim of the canyon before descending into the lush Garden of Eden. After walking these iconic places, we’ll take you to our favourite sections of the Larapinta Trail in the West MacDonnell Ranges. Walk in awe at Mt Sonder and Ormiston Pound, while marvelling at the rich red walls at Serpentine Gorge.

Every last detail is taken care of so you can fully experience this extraordinary Red Centre landscape stress-free.

    Top End - Group-Guided

Cruising the East Alligator River along the Arnhem Land border, waters chock-full of crocodiles is another exciting highlight. This is a unique Kakadu tour where we will get to places that can only be reached on foot.

At Nitmiluk National Park the walking takes you to rugged gorges and remote swimming holes via the rim of Katherine Gorge itself, including one section of the long distance Jatbula Trail.

Then there’s beautiful Mataranka Falls, where two rivers meet in watery unison. At Mataranka thermal pool, you can swim in the warm waters then take a dip in one our favourite pools, Bitter Springs, which we’ll most likely have to ourselves.

Stunning Litchfield National Park is the grand finale, with sections of the long-distance Tabletop Track and a dozen huge waterfalls that plummet down impressive escarpments.

Every last detail is taken care of so you can fully experience all the highlights of Australia’s Top End. Accommodations are comfortable and full of character, complementing the surroundings.
