賞金5万ドルのTABメトリックマイルは、カーニバル最終日に行われる大一番への出走権獲得を目指す馬たちにとって、最後のチャンスとなります。
1600mのこのレースは、当日開催される7つのハイレベルなレースの一つです。その他にも、賞金3万2000ドルのフライングスプリント、賞金4万ドルの3歳ハンデキャップなど、多くの注目レースが繰り広げられることでしょう。
TABメトリックマイルの過去の優勝馬には、ボブ・リチャード調教師が手掛けたスパルタンイーグル（2013年、2014年）、ニール・ダイヤー調教師が手掛けたパルミラボーイ（2009年、2010年）などがいます。
