I tunnel di stoccaggio del petrolio della Seconda Guerra Mondiale furono costruiti durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale dal Corpo delle Costruzioni Civili.
Questa attrazione turistica unica, situata nel Darwin Waterfront Precinct su Kitchener Drive, rimase segreta al pubblico fino a quando non fu aperta come attrazione turistica nel 1992 per commemorare il 50° anniversario del bombardamento di Darwin.
Questa attrazione storica unica ha recentemente aggiornato i suoi pannelli interpretativi per consentire un'esperienza facile e autoguidata. Vieni a vedere il Digger Man, completamente costruito con oggetti e manufatti della Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
Partecipa all'80° anniversario e ai 30 anni di attività visitando i tunnel nel 2021-22. Festeggeremo questo traguardo con la promozione "See The Light" alla fine dei tunnel della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Saranno in vendita monete commemorative, borse a fascia, frigoriferi tozzi e altri cimeli per celebrare questo 80° anno dalla Seconda Guerra Mondiale.

WW2 Tunnels Darwin
Take a walk under Darwin City imagine the sweat and toil that was to be a massive WW2 undertaking.
Built by Hammer and Tap due to the fragile earth, plagued constantly by water problems, wet season heat and humidity these tunnels represent the pure determination and hard graft the men of the Civil Construction Core. From the first bombing on the 19 February 1942 the Civil Construction Corps took upon themselves to store oil away from the Invading Japanese Forces.
Celebrate the 80th anniversary and 30 years business in 2022.This attraction opened for the 50th anniversary in 1992 show casing the Bombing of Darwin this is a must see . Join us with a tour and some great WW2 memorabilia.
