Audit House at 2 Burnett Place was designed by Burnie Burnett for the Commonwealth Department of Works, this type "B" house was erected in 1938 .

The House suffered substantial damage during Cyclone Tracy in 1974 and the interior has been modified.

Audit House serves primarily as the headquarters and administrative centre of the National Trust of Australia (NT). The Property is open to the public to view Monday to Friday during Office times 9-2pm. Audit house can be rented out for private functions such as weddings, exhibitions and more.

The property closed on Public Holidays.

Audit House only open office Hours Monday to friday9-2pm closed public holiday s reopens on 6th January 2024.
