These are a few of my favourite day trips and ways to experience this special spot in the ntaustralia for yourself: 🌅 Glen Helen Gorge - an extraordinary waterhole, this ancient landscape is 800million years old! 💦 Ellery Creek Big Hole - one of the most popular swimming spots in the West MacDonnell Ranges, the huge red cliffs and sandy creek are the perfect backdrop for a relaxing picnic! 🌿 Ormiston Gorge - Early morning is my favourite time of day here with magical mirror like reflections on the water! 🦘The Kangaroo Sanctuary - an amazing wildlife reserve for rescued baby and adult kangaroos where you’ll learn all about the fantastic work Brolga and the team do here and how we can all help rescue and care for orphaned baby kangaroos! How adorable are those joeys! 🌌 Earth Sanctuary - Just 15mins from Alice Springs, you can enjoy a sensational sunset over the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges before settling in for a mesmerising evening under the stars at Earth Sanctuary! 🌄 Standley Chasm - Walk through the glowing red walls with a local guide and learn all about bush tucker, art and the language of the Arrernte Aboriginal people who have lived in this area for thousands of years! ✨ Parrtjima - There’s nothing quite like watching the 300million year old MacDonnell Ranges being illuminated with stories from the oldest continuous culture on earth through a dazzling light and sound show! A heavenly full moon evening within the West McDonnell Ranges. 🏜 Australia has some pretty incredible landscapes, but these views in Central Australia are pretty close to my favourite. - Remember, just because no one gets married there doesn’t mean that you can’t. The beauty of eloping is that it is low impact on the environment. It is not a hundred people. It is a small handful, usually no more than 10-15. We pack up camp, drive down to the start of the Mt Sonder summit track (16 km return, 782 altimeters) and get ready to hike. 𝟬𝟮:𝟯𝟴 𝗮𝗺 | Up we go! 𝟬𝟰:𝟱𝟲 𝗮𝗺 | The first signs of day break. 𝟬𝟱:𝟮𝟬 𝗮𝗺 | We made it to the summit! Time for a delicious breakfast burrito and champagne (non alcoholic) 🥂 𝟱:𝟱𝟭 𝗮𝗺 | Here comes the sun dudududu.
