Alice Springs Darwin Katherine Ulu r u Kings Canyon

Familiarise yourself before you start exploring Kakadu National Park, with interpretive displays showing different views of the park's significance.

Before you start exploring Kakadu National Park, get familiarised by exploring the Bowali Visitor Centre.

This is a great first-stop on your Kakadu adventure. Our staff are on hand to answer questions and help you plan your walks and activities.

Spend an hour at the interpretive centre where you can watch a 25 minute audio visual presentation to help you gain a greater understanding of Kakadu's landscape and moods. Videos are shown on the half hour giving different perspectives on Kakadu and its international significance.

There is a walk-through display where you’ll learn more about the plants, animals and landscapes you’ll see in the park. The habitat based display and library gives you detailed information about the park and how much there is to see and do. It's also air-conditioned, which is a great spot to cool off and relax with a book.

You’ll find the Anmak An-me Café and Marrawuddi Gallery here. Take a look at The Marrawuddi Gallery for Aboriginal arts and crafts, books and gifts, then enjoy a refreshment or coffee at the cafe. There’s also a recharging station in Bowali.
