Frances Bay Explosives Complex

The complex consists of a number of concrete stores buildings of various sizes built in areas excavated from the cliffs along Tiger Brennan Drive.
Access is obtained from Stoddart Drive with a pathway leading along Michie Court to stairs being the easiest way of accessing the start of the site. The pathway continues along to the north and a second set of steps leading to further stores buildings.
A wide range of naval stores were serviced at this facility including acoustic mines, depth charges and torpedoes for both the Australian and US Navy.
