This surreal endurance aerobic dance class is a communal celebration, ritual of release and rite of renewal led by iconic performance critter Betty Grumble and DJ HipHopHoe.

After beautiful sharings of 6HR Grumble Boogie in Naarm (RISING), Gadigal (Red Rattler Theatre) and Boorloo (Rechabite) and a mighty 24HR Grumble Boogie for World Pride Sydney (Carriageworks), Darwin audiences now have a chance to pull on your dancing shoes, take a deep breath and boogie on Larrakia Country.

Betty Grumble and HipHopHoe invite you into the mantric wish of 'Thank You Body' as hearts pump and the serotonin builds. Artists and soul sisters, the pair harnesses utopian energies gifted from their own experiences of creativity and queerness. This is a personal and political work that combines the sometimes conflicting emotions of love and grief, rage and empathy to forge a hopeful path to recovery and repair through movement and humour. Use this event to dance, breathe, witness and process. Together in music, with our bodies and spirit this experience is designed to speak to the time we are in now.

Sonically the music will be vast and deep, with a focus on global Indigenous sounds, music from the African diaspora, Queer art and icons and the soundtrack to revolutions past and present.
