Tropical Hunting Safaris is an Australian-owned Company providing world-class safaris for the discerning buffalo hunter since 1999.

Offering free-range hunting on the remote Central Arnhem Land Plateau at Mann River in the Northern Territory where you will hunt for buffalo, wild oxen (scrub bulls) and wild boar.

All touring is conducted in our 4x4 all terrain hunting vehicles. Explore many billabong and river systems, beautiful scenic areas with an abundance of native bird life and awe inspiring panoramic views from the escarpments overlooking kilometres of breathtaking scenery. Enjoy an invigorating swim in one of the many freshwater creeks and rock pools.

The comfortable accommodation suits up to 6 people. Amenities include hot and cold running water, a flushing toilet and a washing machine, together with 24-hour generated power for lights, fans and electrical appliances.

Top quality meals are prepared for you daily. Dinners include a variety of roast meats, selected seafood, beef steaks, lamb, poultry, pasta and rice dishes served with a variety of fresh salads and vegetables and, of course, desserts.

A special liquor licence allows you to enjoy a beverage at the lodge at the end of a day’s hunt.

Buffalo Safari

The 7-day package includes a fully-guided 5-day hunt in the Aboriginal Reserve of Central Plateau Arnhem Land Mann River in the Northern Territory of Australia. The animals available are trophy water buffalo, cull water buffalo, management water buffalo and wild oxen (scrub bulls).

Each hunter may take;

Option 1: 1 x trophy water buffalo (gold class) and 2 x cull water buffalo for the Trophy Buffalo Safari; or

Option 2: 2 x management water buffalo (silver class) for the Management Buffalo Safari or

Option 3: 5 x cull water buffalo for the Cull Buffalo Safari.

All touring is conducted in the 4x4 all terrain hunting vehicles. You will explore many billabong and river systems, beautiful scenic areas with an abundance of native bird life and awe-inspiring panoramic views from the escarpments overlooking kilometres of breathtaking scenery. Once you reach a specific location, you continue your hunt with a leisurely walk amongst scenic spring systems and tributaries of the Mann River.

Guests may enjoy an invigorating swim in one of the many freshwater creeks and rock pools (no saltwater crocodiles inhabit these areas).
