An Indigenous business comprising of the traditional owners of Lilla that seeks to teach visitors about the culture and history of Lilla.

Over four hours, guides will share their knowledge through walks, talks, demonstrations and hands on activities around Lilla and it places of cultural significance.

Winmarti Tours has been in operation for over a decade and has particular specialty and experience with school and spiritual groups.

Tours are organised on request and do not run regularly.

Minimum group size or charge is 40 guests and booking fee per group.

Lilla Discovery Session

The remote community of Lilla is located in the Watarrka National Park, about 15 kilometres before Kings Canyon.

Starting in the morning or afternoon, you will be hosted in this community to learn and experience the local culture and history.

Running time is approximately four hours.

Inclusions:
A cultural welcoming ceremony performed by the traditional land-owners.
Listen to the dreamtime stories that explain the history of Lilla.
Learn how to use traditional hunting weapons such as the boomerang.
Sit with local artists and paint in the traditional way of the Luritja people.
Guided walk around Lilla and its places of cultural significance such as the women's area, spiritual waterholes and cave paintings.
Try some campfire-cooked kangaroo tail or damper.
