Jabaljarri Arts and Merchandise offers a culturally rich camping experience just outside Tennant Creek on Jawoyn Country.

Set in peaceful bushland, the campground features 12 self-contained caravan and camper sites, creating a quiet, spacious retreat for travellers exploring the Northern Territory.

This Aboriginal-owned destination combines camping with authentic cultural immersion. Guests can enjoy evenings around the communal fire, listening to stories shared by Steven Jabaljarri Sutton — a local artist and cultural custodian. His works draw on traditional dot painting and crosshatching techniques to reflect the rhythms of land, family, and spirit.

The on-site art gallery showcases Steven's original paintings, didgeridoos, and homewares. All artworks are available for viewing and purchase, offering visitors the chance to take home a meaningful connection to Country. Painting workshops are also available, providing a hands-on experience with cultural storytelling through art.

Facilities include solar-powered systems, composting toilets, and pet-friendly access. The site is designed with care for both guests and the environment. Jabaljarri Arts & Merchandise is well suited to families, solo travellers, and cultural adventurers seeking a stay that is grounded, welcoming, and memorable.

Rated 4.8 stars on WikiCamps, it is just minutes from town but feels a world away — where stories are shared, and memories are made.
