The Bushman Experience is an Aboriginal cultural tourism experience combining live music, storytelling and cultural insight, led by Harold Dalywaters, a proud Mudburra man from the Barkly region.
From Elliott along the Stuart Highway, Harold has spent his life working and singing along the Stuart Highway. Through original songs and relaxed yarning, he shares stories grounded in Mudburra identity, Country, cattle stations and community life. Visitors gain insight into Barkly history, drovers and long roads, gospel traditions, faith and family, as well as stories of hardship, resilience and hope.
Each song is introduced with a personal yarn explaining where it comes from and what it means. Guests are invited to sit, listen and engage in a respectful and welcoming setting. The experience creates space for reflection, questions and genuine cultural exchange.
Harold's music has been played across the Northern Territory, and one of his songs recorded in language was featured during an AFL Indigenous Round campaign.
Suitable for travellers, tour groups and visitors seeking an authentic Aboriginal cultural experience, The Bushman Experience offers a heartfelt connection to Country and a deeper understanding of life along the Stuart Highway and the spirit of the Barkly.
