Willis's Walkabouts offers multi-day bushwalking expeditions through some of the wildest landscapes of northern Australia, including the Top End, Red Centre, Kimberley and Pilbara.
Established in 1986, they specialise in walking beyond the usual tourist routes.
Their scheduled trips take you into remote country where you camp away from established campgrounds and vehicles, walk mostly off-track and experience places that are difficult to reach any other way. Depending on the season and location, you may walk through spectacular gorges, beside waterfalls and creeks, swim in clear rock pools and waterholes, and camp in the bush surrounded by wilderness.
Trips range from three-day sections to a 26 day expedition. Many longer trips can be divided into sections, so you can choose a shorter experience or join a longer adventure. They operate trips in different regions and seasons, giving you the opportunity to experience northern Australia's landscapes at different times of year.
They also arrange private charter and personalised trips for groups of four or more.

Red Centre Bushwalks
Our Red Centre trips combine a series of 2- to 6-night hikes with day walks, exploring both the region's best-known highlights and lesser-visited places.
We adapt our walks and itineraries to conditions at the time. Weather, water levels and the state of walking routes can all affect what is possible, so we vary our plans to make the most of the conditions we find.
One day you might walk through dramatic ranges and rocky gorges; another might take you to secluded waterholes, unexpected pockets of vegetation or other less familiar parts of the landscape.
Rather than following a fixed sightseeing itinerary, we spend much of our time on foot, exploring beyond the places easily reached by vehicle. By combining iconic landscapes with quieter, less-visited places, our trips offer a varied experience of the Red Centre and reveal some of the features that make this region so special.
