We’ve pulled together a list of the Northern Territory’s top inspiring travel Instagram accounts for you to follow now and travel to later.

The Kangaroo Sanctuary

Where animals come first. If you’re looking for the warm and fuzzies then this Instagram account is for you. The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs rescues and raises orphaned kangaroos from around the Red Centre. Its wider mission is to educate and encourage people to rescue local wildlife that might be injured or need some caring for before releasing back into the wild.

Crocosaurus Cove

Croc Cove, as it’s known by the locals, is located in the heart of Darwin City. You can expect entertaining and educational posts about the Top End’s scaly creatures on their popular account. And it’s not just crocs that will jump into your Instagram feed. Croc Cove is home to a reptile centre, large fresh water aquarium and a turtle billabong. This Instagram account is one for the family.

Kings Creek Station

There’s no better place to find inspiration than in the Outback. Kings Creek Station, set amongst majestic desert oaks in the Red Centre, is situated 36 kilometres from the impressive site of Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. Watch croc encounters and lap up the incredible shots taken from the lily-pad filled billabongs and incredible bird’s eye-views from a heli above. And there’s a reason it’s called Top End Safari – they offer secluded glamping accommodation way out in nature.

Darwin Waterfront

Hands down one of the best places to capture a sunrise in the Northern Territory’s tropical capital. The Darwin Waterfront’s Instagram account serves up stunning snaps you might not expect on the edge of the CBD and calls to all foodies looking for their next tasty bite.
