In the heart of Australia, an ancient landscape becomes the setting for an extraordinary celebration illuminating the world's oldest living culture.

Parrtjima is a free cultural festival held in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), on Arrernte Country in Australia's Red Centre.

Set against the ancient MacDonnell Ranges, formed hundreds of millions of years ago, Parrtjima shares Aboriginal stories, culture and creativity through large-scale light installations, projections, music, talks, workshops and live performances.

At its heart is the spectacular Ranges Light Show, transforming the natural landscape through light, sound and storytelling. Created in collaboration with Aboriginal artists and communities, Parrtjima brings together ancient knowledge technology to share stories deeply connected to culture and Country.

Parrtjima is an opportunity to experience something found nowhere else in the world: a cultural celebration grounded in tens of thousands of years of living culture, presented beneath the vast desert skies of Central Australia.

Free to attend, Parrtjima is a must-see cultural experience and a compelling reason to include Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and Australia's Red Centre in your journey.
