This leisurely day trip through the beautiful East MacDonnell Ranges will give you insight into the geological formation of these spectacular ranges as well as the local flora, fauna, Aboriginal and European history, and many other random facts about this highly unique part of Australia.
Stopping first at beautiful Emily Gap, we then head down the track to stroll around Corroboree Rock, an impressive formation traditionally visited only by Aboriginal men. Then off to the stunning Trephina Gorge, dropping in to hug the Giant Ghost Gum along the way! The Gorge offers a short, 2km walk with incredible views, as well as an alternative stroll up the sandy river bed to view the rock art and the towering quartzite cliffs. Lunch is held outdoors in the camp ground surrounded by nature, then relax and enjoy the scenic drive back to Alice Springs via pretty little Jessie Gap
