Outstation Gallery is proud to present Wirlkirrpa (Bush Potato Dreaming), a solo exhibition of works on paper by Jimmy Tjapangarti Tchooga, a senior Kukatja lawman, 2025 Telstra NATSIAA finalist, and one of Warlayirti Artists' most respected voices.

His drawings are bold, intentional, and deeply personal. They carry the stories from the Kimberley deserts and speak directly to the Birrundudu Drawings, a historic body of crayon-on-paper works made by Warlpiri and Gurindji men in the late 1940s. The suite traces the Waringarri songline, a ceremony gifted to Tjapangarti Tchooga by senior men before they passed away, sharing the journey of Luurnpa (Kingfisher) and the men who revived this tradition.
