Darwin International Laksa Festival

The Darwin International Laksa Festival is a month-long celebration of the Territory’s multicultural community, tropical lifestyle and love of laksa.

Now in its fifth year, the Laksa Festival is on its way to cementing itself as the ‘foodie festival’ of the year. The Festival aims to extend community activity in the shoulder season and drive visitation and spend within participating businesses.

The Laksa Festival comprises of two key elements:

• The Darwin International Laksa Festival Food Tour; and

• The Darwin International Laksa Festival Finale.

The Food Tour will run throughout October 2023. The Food Tour encourages the community to visit as many food venues registered on the tour as possible throughout the Festival, and to try, share and vote for their favourite dishes through the official Laksa Festival website.

The Festival Finale, held on Chan Lawns, will be an all-day festival celebrating all things laksa, there will be food eating competitions, cooking demonstrations, roving entertainment, food trucks and the presentation of the ‘Golden Bowl’ awards and ‘People’s Choice Awards’.
