Barkly Artists represent painters from four communities: Canteen Creek, Epenarra, Tennant Creek, and Elliott.

Covering about 283,648 square kilometers.

Epenarra artists, from a small community of around 150, focus on landscape painting, using colours that reflect the dramatic changes in their environment.

Tennant Creek artists adopt a style influenced by the late Peggy Jones and Susannah Nakamarra Nelson, often incorporating religious themes and patterns reminiscent of Epenarra's work.

Canteen Creek artists, located about 50 km from Epenarra, create detailed depictions of bush medicine and bush tucker, showcasing their community pride. This exhibition explores the diverse styles of the Barkly artists as well as common themes of spinifex, bush medicine and place.
