Rainbow Valley and Chambers Pillar, Ewaninga Aboriginal rock art, Maryvale Cattle Station and store for Titjikala Aboriginal community artworks. Your tour travels through Simpson Desert sandhills, and rugged remote mountain ranges.
Travel by the Old Ghan Railway track and the Overland Telegraph Line. Visit deserted Old Ghan Railway sidings & towns to Maryvale Cattle Station for morning tea, Aboriginal art for sale here.
As you approach Chambers Pillar, it is like entering wonderland as we are surrounded by ancient castle like structures dominating the landscape. Here you will stop in the beautiful, shaded camp area for lunch. Time now for Rainbow Valley via four-wheel drive tracks, cross the Hugh River again before Rainbow Valley for the late afternoon. Return to Alice Springs via the Stuart Hwy through rugged mountain landscapes, or to Uluru if part of extended tour.
The tour includes a professional guide/driver, luxury 4WD vehicle, National Parks entry fees, delicious healthy lunch, morning and afternoon teas, snacks, photo stops & photo tips for best shots, CBD hotel pickup and return. Small group - usually 2-6 people, with minimum of 2 passengers for departure.
Darwin to Cairns via Lost City & Gulf Savannah Way Tours - Eastbound - Darwin to Cairns via Top End & Savannah Way incl. Mataranka Hot Springs and "We of the Never Never" homestead, Daly Waters, Cape Crawford, Lost City, Borroloola, Riversleigh Dinosaur Fossil Fields, Lawn Hill National Park (now Boodjamulla National Park) Adel's Grove, Bourke & Wills Roadhouse, Normanton, Undara Lava Tubes.
