Elsey National Park is located 120 km south of Katherine near Mataranka.

The park is best known for its thermal pools that stay a warm 34°C year-round. It's also popular for boating and fishing with 2 boat ramps and several land fishing locations along the Roper River.

There several scenic walks including the 16 km Riverside Walk and the 1.5 km Botanic Walk. There are also historical sites to explore such as the World War II Aboriginal Army Camp and the Old Mataranka Sheep Dip.

There is a campground at Jamurark that has sites suitable for tents and caravans. Please book online before you visit.

A Park Pass is required for visitors to the Northern Territory.
