Memory Mountain

Located in the spectacular far west MacDonnell Ranges and 230km from Alice Springs, Memory Mountain is home to The Cross, a 20m symbol of hope.

This is the Indigenous-led vision of the desert communities of Haasts Bluff, Papunya, Mt Liebig and Kintore.

Visitors can experience sunrise and sunset climbs to the summit: a 950m trek taking approximately 30 – 40 minutes. Make sure you bring plenty of water and suitable walking shoes.

The climb exposes the vast landscapes and majestic beauty of the region. This is one for the bucket list and a must-do on your visit to the Red Centre.
