Played annually at the Palmerston Golf Course the tournament forms part of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia schedule and will be contested for prize money of AUD200,000.
Golf is one of Australia’s most popular sports and is enjoyed by people of all ages, status and social back ground.
Competitors are expected to attend from across the world. In previous years, players have hailed from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA, Papua New Guinea and the UK. Women and men compete alongside each other in the NT PGA Championship.
The NT PGA Championship is a fantastic opportunity for locals and visitors to see some of Australia’s best golfers right here in the Top End. The championship draws competitors and their teams to the Territory from across the world. They stay in local accommodation, visit local restaurants and experience some of our tourism offerings, which boosts our economy.
The championship is also an opportunity to foster the next generation of local talent with a range of clinics on offer.
