Luxury Eco Safari Villas

Nestled under a rich canopy of trees, Cooinda's Yellow Water Villas balance luxury with a commitment to environmental sustainability. They are built on stilts to minimise impact on the land, as the preservation of country is a key priority of Murumburr Traditional Owners

Each of the five luxury villas have a bathtub on the large veranda outside, with a completely air-conditioned interior. The ensuite bathroom, dining area and lounge area with daybeds make our villas the perfectly comfortable base for your Kakadu adventure. The daybeds can sleep 2 small children.

A re-imagination of the tactile textures and resilient nature of the vast billabong landscape is captured throughout the interiors, with raw materials – reclaimed native timbers, earthen clay, ageing brass and woven plant-dyed grass fibres.

Each Yellow Water Villa is named after a native Indigenous animal of the Kakadu region, themed throughout with personal stories of the local Murumburr community – from the pillows to the interior decorations. Artworks and decorations have been sourced from local Bininj (Aboriginal) artists as well as the famed Marrawuddi Art Gallery in Jabiru. This Bininj community and their culture has coexisted harmoniously with Kakadu lands for over 65,000 years.
