Hooked on Barra is a land-based barramundi fishing experience located on the Adelaide River floodplains in the Northern Territory.
Just one hour from Darwin and only 200 metres from the famous Adelaide River Cruises – Jumping Crocodile Experience, it offers a unique and accessible fishing adventure for visitors of all ages.
Guests are guided through a one-hour, catch-and-release fishing session at a purpose-built freshwater dam. All gear is provided, and no experience is required. The setting offers panoramic views of the floodplains, with chances to spot crocodiles, buffalo, and a wide range of birdlife.
Casting decks, shade facility, seating, and on-site guidance make this experience safe, family-friendly, and memorable. Hooked on Barra is a high-chance, low-effort way to engage with one of Australia's most iconic fish, and is ideal for road-trippers, families, and nature lovers seeking a hands-on Territory experience.
Hooked on Barra is a new, must-stop attraction for travellers heading to or from Kakadu.
