Darwin Comedy Festival returns for its second year, bringing three days of world-class comedy to the Top End.

After winning the 2025 Brolga NT Tourism Award for Festivals & Events, the Festival is even bigger in 2026 with national stars, international icons, viral sensations and the best of Territory talent.

Visitors can enjoy the long weekend inside the buzzing, air-conditioned AANT Centre precinct. With theatres, bars and festival spaces all under one roof, it's easy to hop between shows and soak up the Festival atmosphere.

The lineup features Jonathan Van Ness - the Queer Eye star, bestselling author and podcast host - bringing humour and heart direct from the US. Australia's legendary comedy duo The Umbilical Brothers revive their award-winning show Speedmouse, and viral sensation Jimmy Rees brings his sharp-witted characters and social satire to the stage.

They're joined by some of Australia's best-loved comedians, including Em Rusciano, Mel Buttle, Akmal, Denise Scott, Lizzy Hoo, Kevin Kropinyeri, Nat's What I Reckon and Karen From Finance. Darwin favourite Amy Hetherington rounds out the bill, bringing her trademark big-hearted Top End chaos.

The Festival also champions emerging talent, featuring the RAW Comedy NT Final, Class Clowns, and locally created shows in the Laugh Lounge.

Whether you're a local or visitor escaping to the tropics, Darwin Comedy Festival promises a high-energy weekend of laughs, stories and unforgettable moments.
