Desert Romance Picnics offer sunrise, sunset, morning tea and proposal picnics.
Maximum of four people to keep picnics detailed and intimate. All picnics are in the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park and are tour guide accredited with host.
Picnic locations have been specifically chosen to give the guest best uninterrupted view of Uluru away from the crowds to give you a more private experience.
Birthdays, anniversaries or any life event you would like to celebrate we will do our best to decorate, personalise and accommodate.
Proposals include red carpet, gold candelabras, scattered tea lights, champagne and of course the perfect location with an Uluru sunset in the in the background.
Their service includes set up, pack down and clean up so all guests have to do is turn up, relax in a perfectly styled boho luxe picnic complete with cushions, throws, rugs, tea lights and tableware.
Your picnic basket includes a selection of Australian artisan food and beverage. Where possible they choose Indigenous made and owned products. Duration for sunrise and sunset picnics is one and a half hours, morning tea one hour, proposal 45 minutes.

Guests are seated in the shade of majestic Bloodwood trees of Kantju Gorge. This location is up close to Uluru and is a favourite place for locals to visit. The tranquil ambiance is further enhanced by the gentle sounds of native birds, adding an authentic touch to the experience. A perfect place for a cuppa.

Uluru Sunrise Picnic
You will arrive to your picnic location while it's still dark. You will be welcomed by tealights surrounding your picnic with soft cushions, rugs, throws and tableware.
A fully stocked picnic basket containing muesli, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, spreads, hot and cold beverages. Sunrises, in their splendid hues of pink, orange, and gold, symbolising new beginnings and the promise of a new day.
This shared experience is in clear view of Uluru, world heritage listed for its natural beauty, encourages us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the present moment. Your host is an accredited Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park tour guide and is available to answer any questions you may have about Uluru.
Pack and clean-up are all taken care of, so you are free to explore the rest of Uluru.
Uluru Sunset Picnic
In 2023, Uluru was voted the most spectacular sunset in the world. Arrive at our special sunset picnic location with a clear view of Uluru away from the crowds.
They have your perfectly styled picnic waiting, complete with cushions, throws, rugs, tea lights and tableware. Your picnic basket includes a selection of Australian artisan makers of cheese, crackers, meats, fruit, sweet and savoury jams, honeycomb, bush dukkha, hummus and olives. Oh, and don’t forget the wine; we have selected Australian wines from up-and-coming winemakers who are impressing the critics. Their selection includes Sparkling, Prosecco, Riesling and Shiraz.
All this while Uluru is quietly changing colour from hues of yellow, to vibrant orange and deep red. Remember to look up as you see the horizon change from blue to pink, yellow, navy blue and finally black (weather permitting).

Looking for a place for the ultimate romantic proposal? They take care of the red carpet, gold candelabras, scattered tea lights, Champagne of course, the perfect location with Uluru’s silhouette in the background.
Their location is usually people-free and quiet, so all you need to do is get down on one knee. After popping the question, open your bottle of Champagne to celebrate your engagement and plans for your life together.
