Venture deep into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park on a 3 to 4 week wet season bushwalking expedition through a landscape transformed by water.
This is the only tour that takes you to Jim Jim Falls and/or Twin Falls during the wet season. Other tours can fly over the falls, but we walk in to experience their awesome power close up.
This is a genuine wilderness journey. Apart from the helicopter pilot delivering food, you are unlikely to see anyone other than your walking companions. The three-week version has one helicopter food drop; the four-week version has two.
Walk beside rivers at their wet season best, discover waterfall after waterfall, visit ancient Aboriginal rock art sites and swim in clear waterholes. The adventure ends with a Yellow Waters cruise and a night in accommodation.
You need to be able to swim 100 metres unaided, as we will float our packs across a number of creeks. You must also be prepared to wait if flooding makes a creek unsafe to cross.
