
Rum Jungle Single Womens Quarters



The site comprises two dormitory style accommodation blocks constructed in the mid-1950s for single employees of the Rum Jungle uranium mine.
Each building consists of 6 bedrooms with separate kitchen, dining and ablution facilities. The buildings are nominated ‘Block A’ and ‘Block B’. There is a third building on the site nominated ‘Block C’ but this is of a much later date and is smaller. ‘Block B” is the only heritage listed building.

Accessibility
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) Caters for people who are deaf or have hearing loss. Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
