Wow. Just WOW 🙌 The ancient red rock formations of #KataTjuta (#TheOlgas) rise seemingly out of nowhere from the dusty land. From a distance it may look like one single rock, but it's actually a group of 36 domes that sit shoulder to shoulder and form a spectacular and unique configuration of deep valleys and steep gorges spread over more than 20 kilometres (12.4 miles) Kata Tjuta is a Pitjantjatjara Aboriginal word meaning "many heads". Roughly 35 kilometres west of #Uluru, you can see them up close along one of the walking trails or from a helicopter on a scenic flight. Kata Tjuta looks particularly beautiful at sunset 🧡 Please note: @saltywings obtained special permission from @seeuluru and Traditional Owners to use drones within the national park. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @saltywings!  #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT

Make sure you get a window seat on your way to #Darwin 😉 The NT's unhurried capital is well known for its balmy nights, colourful characters and outdoor adventures. As well as markets, crocodiles and cruises, you'll find strong Aboriginal culture and a number of national parks right on your door step. Perched on a harbour five times the size of Sydney's and home to some of @Australia's most instagrammable sunsets, Darwin is the ultimate tropical escape 🙌 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @sparetimelife! #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

It’s not hard to see why Nitmiluk (#Katherine) Gorge is a Top End must do! The gorge-ous views and breathtaking walking tracks will impress even the most adventurous of hearts, or maybe you’ll choose to take it easy on a boat cruise with @NitmilukTours. Open year round, the region is home to some of the most stunning gorge scenery in the NT. Consisting of 13 separate gorges, this maze of waterways stretches for 12 kilometres and extends more than 70 metres high. Our tip: check out Baruwei lookout at sunrise or sunset! Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @carissaspataro. #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd #NitmilukNT

The iconic red rock, #Uluru has to be seen to be believed. At sunrise and sunset it’s radiance is unlike anything else, surrounded by the dreamy colours of the desert sky. There are a number of experiences that take you right up close, including the 10.6 kilometre Base Walk. As the name suggests, the trail circles the entire base of this ochre-coloured monolith and takes roughly 3.5 hours if you do the whole thing. If you're not keen on doing it on foot, you can hire a bike from @outbackcycling or join a segway tour with @ulurusegwaytours. We're coming to you from Wangi Falls where it's wet, wild and wonderful! With a stunning cliff face, an emerald-toned plunge pool and a cafe on-site, there's every reason to sit back and enjoy your surroundings. #Litchfield National Park may be a fraction of the size of Kakadu, but when it comes to adventure opportunities, this national park has it in spades! While the falls are currently closed for swimming due to flooding, this impressive sight is still well worth a visit over the tropical summer. However, if you're keen for a dip within the park, Florence Falls and Buley Rockhole are open for swimming 👌💦 Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @mattyparry96!  #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

Sending you a postcard from paradise, also known as #EastArnhemLand 🍃 This is Lonely Beach, a very beautiful (and real!) place that you can explore on a tour with aboriginal-owned organisation @Lirrwi Tourism. They offer day and multi-day guided tours into the remote Yolngu Homelands, departing from #Nhulunbuy (#Gove) between April and October. You'll get to see how the world's oldest living culture still does things today - from traditional spear fishing to gathering of bush foods. East Arnhem Land is only a short flight from #Darwin or can be accessed via the Central Arnhem Road.  Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @haylsa!  #SeeAustralia #TourismTopEnd

We definitely don’t take for granted, or should we say ‘granite’ the fact that we have the unbelievable #DevilsMarbles in the Northern Territory.  Karlu Karlu, as they’re called by the traditional owners, were in fact formed naturally, slowly eroding over millions of years into their strange and sometimes gravity-defying shapes. Follow the walkways and find out via the information boards how the granite formations have withstood the forces of wind and rain, unlike the surrounding sandstone. These geological wonders are located just an hour drive from #TennantCreek. Cheers for tagging #NTaustralia, @mwjhvisuals! #SeeAustralia #RedCentreNT
