Free guided tours depart from the foyer of Parliament House at 10.
30 am on Wednesdays, excluding the months of December and January.
You will visit all public areas and hear about the history of the site, the building, and the role of Parliament. One highlight of your tour is a visit to the gallery to view the Parliamentary Chamber, which reflects our Westminster history and tradition.
You will also see an original wall from the Post Office, which has been incorporated in the Historic Lobby and makes an impressive entry point to the Northern Territory Library. Other things to see include Sturt's Desert Rose Mosaic, the Main Hall, the Portrait Gallery of former Chief Ministers and Speakers of the Northern Territory, and a Time Capsule due to be opened in 2048.
