Patakijiyali Museum

Unique museum located in Wurrumiyanga, Tiwi Islands.

Patakijiyali Museum Houses collections of Tiwi Island culture, language, artefacts, historic photographs, Tiwi cultural heritage including spiritual stories, traditional sculptures, plants and animals which can only be found on the Tiwi Islands.

Specific collections contain local sporting stars, Mission history, WWII, girls from the bush, Flora and Fauna of the Tiwi.

Patakijiyali Museum has been in operation on the same site in Wurrumiyanga since 1985.

The museum is open 5 days Monday - Friday, 9-3pm. The museum is nearby to Ferry terminal.
