Freds Pass Rural Community Show

Over the last 40 years it is estimated that in excess of half a million Territorian’s have had an opportunity to sample a ‘unique slice of rural life’ through a family visit to the iconic Freds Pass Rural Show.

2019 will see a Ruby Red celebration of this significant milestone.
The show is known for its strong rural theming with a vast range of equestrian events, livestock judging, animal displays, an exhibition hall showcasing the communities many talents, wood chopping exhibition, side show alley, Music talent quests, NT Young Rural Achiever Awards & a the vast array of poultry and produce. It has truly become an annual event where ‘urban meets rural’.Our popular Paddock to Plate marquee is a dedicated space where we invite local producers to offer tastings and talk about how their product is made & chefs to stage cooking demonstrations using some of the local produce on offer.Children are not forgotten as free children's activities run on both days of the show. Saturday and Sunday feature exciting entertainment acts focusing on utilising local talent wherever possible. On Saturday night there are spectacular fireworks display, and then party on to great live entertainment under the stars..

    Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia) Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
