Under the Southern Cross

A Desert Song Festival special.

A performance of musical and poetic musing like no other. As the sun sets in the West and the moon rises in the East, examine the night sky through three powerful telescopes, then lie in the sand, nestle in your swag, rug pulled up to your chin, eyes focused on the night sky in the best place on the planet to view our Galaxy. Surrender as you allow yourself to be transported by music inspired by the Celestial dome.

The Desert Song Festival unites singers, musicians and audiences, from Alice Springs and visitors to the region, over 10 glorious days (4- 13 September). Artists from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, in the heart of Australia, have come together to present a diverse program of events, that reveal incredible musical talent.

Using staged, iconic heritage venues across town and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the festival gives visitors and locals an unforgettable experience.

'Under the Southern Cross' will have a limited capacity so book early online or, at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre- corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
