The Parade of Performers will have choirs, singers and musicians ignite Todd Mall with sound, colour and harmony in a creative movement towards Flynn Lawns for 'Aperture'- the 2018 Desert Song Festival's opening night event.

Aperture will be a rousing community celebration in the heart of the Alice Springs CBD, introducing some of the festival’s signature acts- the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, Asante Sana, visiting musicians from Africa, India and North America. Experience a captivating preview of the kaleidoscope of talent awaiting festival goers over the next ten days.

The Desert Song Festival is an annual showcase of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance in Central Australia. With the 2018 theme of “What a Wonderful World!– Celebrating Global Heritage”, the festival will unite singers, musicians and audiences from Alice Springs and visitors to the region.

Come and launch the 2018 Desert Song Festival with a rousing celebration! APERTURE is a free CBD event, staged on the lawns of the John Flynn Memorial Church.

The Parade of Performers will commence at 5:30pm, with Aperture following from 6pm to 7:30pm.
