The Festival Recital

The Festival Recital is one of the premier events of the 7th annual Desert Song Festival, which is an exhibition of artistic brilliance and virtuosity featuring the Festival Headliners for 2019: Q, Eric Avery, The Arafura Collective and more.

The DSF19 comes roaring back-bigger, bolder and more exciting than ever.

Take “the essential Australian journey” this September to Alice Springs where, over 10 glorious days, the DSF19 will honour the 'UN International Year of Indigenous Language'. Singers, musicians and audiences from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, will unite to celebrate Central Australia's unique story of human occupation, resilience and culture.

Using staged, iconic heritage venues across town and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the Festival gives visitors an unforgettable experience revealing extraordinary musical talents.

The program provides a smorgasbord of free community events and quality ticketed performances. The Festival Recital goes fast.

Bookings are essential and can be made online or in person at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre, on the corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
