Music That Moves Us

A Desert Song Festival concert by the Chime Choir from Melbourne presents musical works that will move you emotionally.

Music That Moves Us brings a program full of joy, hope, peace, moments of reflection and excitement. ‘Chime’ is a contemporary community choir that presents an innovative, and eclectic musical program of the highest standard, intended to engage a diverse audience, providing an experience of musical artistry with the beauty and power of choral singing.

Take “the essential Australian journey” this September to Alice Springs where, over 10 glorious days, the DSF19 honours the 'UN International Year of Indigenous Language'. Singers, musicians and audiences from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, unite to celebrate Central Australia's unique story of human occupation, resilience and culture.

Using staged, iconic heritage venues and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the Festival gives visitors an unforgettable experience revealing extraordinary musical talents.

The diverse program provides a smorgasbord of free community events and ticketed performances. Bookings are essential and can be made online or in person at the Alice Springs Visitor Information Centre, on the corner of Todd Street Mall & Parsons Street.
