The Parade of Performers & Aperture- Desert Song Festival Opening Night

Come and launch the 2019 Desert Song Festival with a rousing community celebration honouring the International Year of Indigenous Languages, in the heart of Alice Springs.

The Parade of Performers will have choirs, singers and musicians ignite Todd Mall with sound, colour and harmony in a creative movement towards Flynn Lawns for 'Aperture'- the Desert Song Festival's opening night event.

Experience a captivating preview of the kaleidoscope of talent awaiting festival goers over the next ten days.

The Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, Asante Sana, the Arafura Collective, Q, Eric Avery so much more.

The Desert Song Festival is an annual showcase of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance in Central Australia. The festival will unite singers, musicians and audiences from Alice Springs and visitors to the region, in a celebration of; the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people.

The Parade of Performers will commence at 5:30pm, with Aperture following from 6pm to 7:30pm.
