2021 AMRF Larapinta Challenge
Join the AMRF Larapinta Challenge in 2021 and help fund life-saving melanoma research.
The Australian Melanoma Research Foundation (AMRF) continues to raise funds for vital melanoma research.
Melanoma is often referred to as ‘Australia’s National Cancer’, where 1 person dies from melanoma every 5 hours.
Join the challenge and help us to change these alarming statistics and change outcomes in the future. The trek will be run over 5 days starting at the old Alice Springs Telegraph Station, heading West and finishing on the peak of Mount Sonder, the fourth highest mountain in the Northern Territory.
By day, you’ll trek through the ochre-landscapes of the outback, witnessing the sacred sites of the Arrernte people and by night you’ll camp under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of native wildlife.
Participating teams will have full logistical support from experts. Best of all, you’ll raise vital funds for melanoma research, why not share this incredible experience with a friend or colleague and you’ll be in good company sharing this adventure with a group of passionate and inspiring people, who also want to make a difference.
