Top Didj Cultural Experience

Alice Springs Darwin Katherine Ulu r u Kings Canyon

Located at Top Didj and Art Gallery, on the way to Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk), the Cultural Experience offers a genuine Aboriginal experience where you sit and listen to Manual Pamkal, winner of the Tourism NT Brolga award 2013, for outstanding interpretive guide.

Manuel talks about living the traditional way as a young boy and Aboriginal contemporary life today. Next Manuel will show you how to paint a Rarrk (cross hatching) painting using a reed brush (Jalk). After the painting you get to try your hand at fire lighting and spear throwing with a woomera. You will also get the chance to get close and personal with wallabies.

You can select from a large range of didgeridoos, authentic Aboriginal artwork, boomerangs, dilly bags, clap sticks, carvings and souvenirs. Being a member of Art Trade, Top Didj is strongly committed to nurturing emerging talent and promoting Aboriginal art in an ethical way.

Tour duration is between 2 to 2.5 hours.
