2020 Desert Harmony 'Community Lockdown' Festival

The Desert Harmony Festival is a community arts & cultural celebration held on Warumungu lands in Tennant Creek each year.

Please note: in 2020, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the festival will be presented online as: The Desert Harmony 'Community Lockdown' Festival.

Check out our website and follow us on facebook to find out more about this exciting opportunity to be a part of the Desert Harmony experience from wherever you are.

The festival will be back in the Tennant Creek Showgrounds in 2021, and will provide a unique opportunity for visitors to spend some time in Tennant Creek and the Barkly region to meet local people, experience the beauty of the desert landscape, to share and enjoy stories, music, dance, art, film, food, theatre, workshops and cultural activities in a beautiful desert landscape.

The Festival program has something for everyone and all ages - it's an exciting combination of professional, locally produced work that showcases the talents in the Barkly region; community performances; and Australian productions that are truly awe-inspiring.

If you are up for an adventure you will discover a vibrant, inclusive, dynamic festival. It's an open invitation - why don't you come and experience it for yourself? We would love to see you here in Tennant Creek in 2021. . .
