Darwin Visual Arts Inc.
is a not-for-profit, artist-run initiative (ARI) that hosts five (5)
galleries including the Entry space, and two (2) studios.
DVA is committed to supporting local artists at all stages of their careers by building capacity for creative practice and fostering critical dialogue through the provision of studios, exhibition spaces, resources, and a contemporary arts program that is relevant in the local, national and international context.
DVA's goals are focused on effectively supporting the development of professional practice and skills for local artists through creating comprehensive, hands-on opportunities, to support the realisation of quality outcomes and maturation of artistic practice, particularly in terms of curatorial refinement and professional presentation.
DVA, now in its 38th year, is located on the Ground Floor of the Harbour View Plaza, in the heart of Darwin city: 1/8 McMinn Street, Darwin NT 0800.

Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) Caters for people who are deaf or have hearing loss. Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia) Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss. Caters for people who use a wheelchair. Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person.
