NT Summer Sale FAQs

Below are the FAQs for the NT Summer Sale

What qualifies as an eligible booking?

Bookings must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:

1. Every traveller over the age of 18 within each booking must provide, to the participating travel agent, a digital certificate issued by the Australian Government which states the individual to whom the certificate is issued has received all required COVID-19 vaccinations.

2. Travel must be booked within the campaign period of 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

3. Travel departure must occur by or on 31 March 2022.

4. The booking must be valued at a minimum of $1,000 (inclusive of GST) to qualify for the NT Summer Sale discount.

5. The booking can include any bookable flight, accommodation, tour, attraction or hire vehicle inbound to, or within the NT.

6. All bookings must have a minimum of 80% of the total product value spent in the NT.

7. Intra-territory travel by vaccinated NT residents is eligible. Discount will not apply to interstate travel components for NT residents.

Are multi-leg journeys eligible? E.g. Darwin>Yulara>Adelaide

To be eligible as part of a multi-leg journey, 80% of the trip’s value must be spent in the NT. For example hotels located in the NT, travel tours that start and end in the NT, car rentals with pick up and drop off in the NT and flights from other locations to the NT.

Who are the participating travel agents?

NT Now/Holidays of Australia and Helloworld/Viva Holidays.

How do I register for the NT Summer Sale discount?

No registration is required. As long as your booking meets the eligibility criteria, and you are booking through one of the participating NT Summer Sale travel agents, you can receive the discount.

When do I have to book?

Travel must be booked within the sale period of 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, and will continue as long as the incentive pool lasts. The incentive pool is not unlimited and may be exhausted prior to the stated campaign end date; at this point the sale will end.

I am over 18 and I’m not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 can I still access the discount?


I’ve only had my first COVID-19 vaccination, can I still access the discount?

Travellers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of booking, to access the discount.

How can I show that I have been vaccinated for COVID-19?

At the time of booking, you will be asked to provide the digital certificate issued to you by the Australian Government after your second vaccine dose.

What is a COVID-19 digital certificate?

A digital certificate issued by the Australia Government stating to the effect that an individual has received all required COVID-19 vaccinations. Contact Services Australia to source your certificate.

I’m vaccinated for COVID-19, but my travel companion who is over the age of 18 isn’t. We’re booking together, can we still access the discount?

No. All travellers over the age of 18 under the same booking must provide a COVID-19 digital certificate at the time of booking.

I’m travelling with my children who are under 18, do they need to provide proof of vaccination?

The requirement to provide a COVID-19 digital certificate to be eligible for the discount does not apply to travellers under the age of 18.

What are the terms and conditions?

The NT Summer Sale terms and conditions include the booking eligibility criteria as well as the booking terms and conditions stipulated by each participating travel agent. For further details, contact your preferred participating travel agent.

How do I know if I am eligible to travel to the NT?

From 22 November 2021, fully-vaccinated domestic arrivals coming to the Northern Territory from a declared COVID-19 red zone and international arrivals will be permitted to undertake seven days home quarantine.

From 20 December 2021, fully-vaccinated arrivals to the Northern Territory will not be required to quarantine. A testing regime will remain in place for arrivals from declared red zones.

All arrivals into the Northern Territory, no matter where they are travelling from, will be required to have a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival.
