48th Katherine Prize Award Night and Opening Reception

Join Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre as they celebrate the artists and works of the 48th Katherine Prize with a reception and awards night on Friday 3 November—and everyone is invited!

The Katherine Prize is the longest running visual art award in the Northern Territory and returns for its 48th edition—made possible by generous program sponsors Julie and Geoffrey Newton and Katherine Town Council. The exhibition will be on view through to 22 December at Godinymayin.

Opening Night & Award Presentation: Friday 3 November from 6pm to 8pm. 48th Katherine Prize Exhibition: 3 November to 22 December 2023. Julie and Geoffrey Newton Major Award: $5000

Katherine Town Council Award: $2000. People’s Choice Award: $500.
